Our site is currently being redeveloped.
Stay tuned for more updates.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God, and not from us. II Corinthians 4:7
We are pleased to announce that we are in our new location , "THE POTTER'S HAND.ORG", at 808 Main Street Grandview, Missouri 64030, and our phone is (816) 569-6320. We opened for business just before Christmas with our first kiln load of pottery on the shelves and more work to do. We are doing the finishing touches on the gallery, making more pots and starting to plan for teaching classes in the spring. We will be redeveloping our website under our new website address www.thepottershand.org. Please bare with us as this will take some time. In the interim you can email us at shop@sanibelpottery.com if you would like to place a custom order for us to create for you. Thank you so much for your patience and continued interest in what God has placed on our hearts to do for His Kingdom. We look forward to serving you, our valued friends and customers, in the near future.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

God bless you,

About Us

Owners and artists Dave and Barb Hoggatt hail from Indiana, graduating from Ball State University. They are self-taught and started their first pottery in central Indiana. Sanibel Island came into their lives when God had them "in the right place at the right time," and they founded A Touch of Sanibel Pottery in 1981. The wildlife of the tropics started showing up immediately on their hand-crafted pottery. Their daughter, Celia, was born in 1984 and has since has become a seasonal part of the business. In 2006 they sold their shop property and moved their gallery/studio to Grandview Missouri where they continue to make fine stoneware and porcelain pieces for "Life", while being involved with the International House of Prayer in nearby Kansas City Missouri.

Mission/Vision Statement:

Our mission is to shape earthly vessels to God's Glory. Our vision is to glorify God and expand His Kingdom by ministering to others through the potter's hands.
